San Antonio, TX-- (April 5, 2016)— Yard House, the award-winning restaurant known for its American fare and vast selection of craft beer, is opening a second San Antonio location on Saturday, May 7 along the River Walk and is now hiring some 200 positions. Applicants can apply in person Monday-Saturday from 10am to 6pm at the restaurant’s River Walk Hiring Center located at 849 E. Commerce Street, Suite 565 or online at

Those actively seeking employment can apply for front of house or heart of house positions, which range from servers, bartenders, front desk and expeditors to line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers and barbacks.

“We’re very excited to be opening a second San Antonio location,” said Craig Carlyle, president of Yard House. “We are assembling a large team of great individuals with varied skill sets. But more importantly we are looking to hire people who demonstrate drive, motivation and willingness to be a team player.”

While Yard House offers a great work environment for those pursuing higher education or working towards career goals unrelated to the hospitality industry, there are also opportunities for professional advancement and growth.

Each Yard House has its own distinct beer list with a handful of taps reserved for local and regional brewers along with an offering of seasonal and small-batch selections as part of the rotating “Chalkboard Series.” The glass-enclosed keg room showcases hundreds of steel barrels containing as much as 4,000 gallons of beer that flow to the center-island bar through an extensive network of tubing positioned overhead. From there the beer is fed to the taps where it’s served ice-cold by the pint, 9-ounce shorty, goblet or half-yard glass container. Yard House is also well-known for its classic rock boasting a library of 5,000 songs with each location having its own distinct playlist. Yard House is open daily for lunch, dinner and late-night dining.
